Students will be creating three tweets on behalf of a famous person in history. While we could be "real tweeters", some students do not have a Twitter account. Because of this we modified a Twitter template that we found online for our purposes.
Students will create a copy of the template using an iPad which has a specific workflow. Find the specific presentations below.
We feel that this learning opportunity helps students to practice being great communicators, critically thinkers all while creating good content.

World History: Levels of Creation Options For Students
Our World History teachers have allowed for students to learn about a famous person in history while creating something. These creations are at "different levels" of text.
👉If students like writing text, magazines and newspaper templates are provided. If students like creating with green screens and video, the option is available.
We feel this learning opportunity allows for students to build critical thinking, communication, and creativity skills. All of the skills employers are looking for in an employee.
We also feel this assignment meets multiple ISTE Standards.

CANVA: World History Russian Revolution Controlled Twitter Project
It's the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution.
We want students to Tweet as if they were in the midst of the Revolution, but not all students have a Twitter account.
We decided to utilize Canva's Twitter Post Templates so that students can tweet by creating a graphic. We are introducing the project by including a great resource from RT
Not only are the tweeting, but they have a very interactive website!
Our students utilize iPads as one of their educational tools. I created a six minute tutorial for the teachers to display during several sections of classes at the same time.
Once students have completed their three twitter graphics, they will submit all three images through CanvasLMS. Teachers will be able to use Speedgrader to view all images at one time.

Snapchat Continues To Be Integrated To Document
About a month ago, Snapchat was introduced to our staff in a Lunch N' Learn. I have continued to use it in many ways. It was a great "quick tool" for annotating a process! While an iPad can be used, I utilized an iPhone.
Today, our Newscast From The Past is being recorded in front of a Green Screen.
Another example is utilizing video. The video has black bars on the sides because I used a an iPhone to video. I used Snapchat because of the quick annotation.

Newscast From The Past Using Green Screen by Do Ink In World History
- Students didn't stand in the correct place for adequate backgrounds
- Students were expected to record and create all within the same small amount of time.
- Students were sharing 30 iPads.
- Due to the flex mod schedule, I was able to teach the following information three times to all of our sophomore class students (about 350) in one day.
- Students viewed the Green Screen during the entire large group mod to "make it real."
- Students will sign up for a specific recording time.
- Students will only use one iPad (we've purchased more iPads).
- Students will have one one full week to create the video using the Green Screen app by Do Ink.
After producing the videos either completely in the DoInk app or in iMovie, a few of the final products were saved and can be viewed.
To practice and to show students an example, I created a video for the iPadU Conference which I will be speaking at in July.

Twitter Exit Ticket
In the Flex Mod we have options for having a large group information presentation session. As the World History group of teachers continues to add new ways to engage students, we decided to create a Twitter Feed Timeline for information pertaining to the Russian Revolution. I am a member of their team because in the flex mod, teachers have collaboration time once a week. As a technology integration support teacher, I am in the meetings discovering what the teachers are teaching and adding "technology integration ideas" when appropriate.
It started when I found the ClassTools.net Fake Twitter Feed. However, in large group the time and process would have been larger than we would have had access to if completed online.
I decided to created a "fake Twitter profile and timeline" using Google Draw that would become a paper copy. While the images are below of what we printed off you can access all items in a

Newscast From The Past - World History
As we progress forward with the project, the Green Screen App by Do Ink will be used by some students. Below is a basic instructional video followed by a complete tutorial. Remember, each Do Ink creation can be produced to the iPad's camera roll. Upon completion, combining multiple Green Screen creations into an iMovie project. Produced together can be a completed project.

After one week of three green screen set ups and 300 students experiencing the project with 30 iPads, some images, videos and final creations were completed.

Effective Researching
Effective researching skills makes anyone more efficient and productive. While presenting the information below, the students completed the Effective Research Resources. The research resource provides a follow along experience with resources, tips, and trick. The best part of the Effective Research Resource is the two reflection questions found at the bottom. I am also considering students acquiring peer initials and teacher initials after their reflection as an accountability piece. A bonus would be a conversation sparked by staff or students based on the reflection answers.
Effective Researching
Effective Research Resource
Impact On Students:
Critical Thinking: Students will be allotted time for personal reflection after the presentation. Two questions will be asked: "As far as researching on the web, what did you learn today?" and "What impact does this have on me and my life?"
Citizenship: Plagiarism is defined as "passing off another person's ideas or words as your own with credit".
